San Telmo with it's cobbled shirts and rich antique shops hits me right in the soul. Takes me back to a time I never knew, but wish I did. This is one of my favorite neighbors to visit when I'm in Buenos Aires. It's a beautiful grittiness that I love. It's the Buenos Aires that I've always dreamed about.
As the oldest neighborhood in Buenos Aires you can feel the old world in its colonial buildings, Stone smooth cobbled streets, and marketplaces. One of my favorite things about San Telmo are the Antiques shops where you can find old military regalia to gorgeous Louis Vuitton trunks. There are numerous shops that will satisfy any budget. It's high key poppin!!! If you want to get the old world feel of Buenos Aires San Telmo is the place to be.
These photos represent a typical day in San Telmo. Wide eye tourist gawking at beautiful pieces and motor biking Argentinians ripping though the streets. You really get the feel of Buenos Aires and what it has to offer. Behind every turn there's something new to discover. Maybe you'll find a vintage nude you've always wanted (trust me they are there), or an authentic vintage Argentine leather bag (I have 2 and they are amazing). Whatever you are looking for you'll find it in San Telmo.
